The international scientific and professional conference Art and Education / Umetnost i obrazovanje (Art’nEdu) of the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad was founded in 2021 on the initiative of the Department of Theoretical Studies of the Fine Arts Department. The initial idea for the establishment of the Art’nEdu assembly was to pay special attention to research into the theory and practice of education in the field of art`s, especially educational methods in the field of art. This implies empirical consideration, description, analysis and evaluation of the contribution of different educational approaches and their repercussions on the creativity and personality development of children and young people, with special reference to emancipatory practices in education. We hope that the scientific and professional papers from the conference Art’nEdu, which are additionally supported by research and pre-axeological action through teaching at AAUNS master’s studies dedicated to the education of art teachers (Master professor of subject teaching in the field of art – MASPU), will contribute to the strengthening of theory and practice in the field of art pedagogy and additionally affirm this important discipline to the general and professional public.
